The Triangle BUSTED see below for solutions.
Problem: |
We have two Triangles composed of Four separate pieces. The pieces in each triangle are identical. When the pieces are arranged as in Triangle 1, we have a nice geometrically "full" triangle However, when the pieces are arranged as in Triangle 2, we have a slight problem....... | |
Triangle 1 No problem here, this is "Right". |
|
|
Triangle 2 Where did the damn hole come from?? This is "Wrong". |

| I have tried several things to solve this mystery. I printed the above image and carefully cut out the individual pieces. The pieces from both triangles are identical in size. When manually arranged in accordance with Triangle 1, no problem. When manually arranged as in Triangle 2....... you get the damn hole ! | ||
How does this work? |

| Magic ? | Could be, I don't have explanation. | |
| Occult Geometry ? | ||

well as some more oxymoron's. One of my pet-peeve words is "irregardless", but it's not really an oxymoron, just a double negative, I guess. Also words with prefixes where we never use the word by itself like: unkempt - we never say a well-dressed person looks kempt. revolve - but if it only goes around once, we say it rotated, not volved. also, people get involved or uninvolved, but never unvolved. I guess that would be an reverse volve. which leads to: we call the gear to backup, reverse, but forward gears are not called 1st verse, 2nd verse, etc. regurgitate - well, I won't go into this one, indelible - if you wanted ink that washed right out, would it be delible ink? why is a reward a reward? Who was warded in the first place? The list goes on and on, English is weird. |
